Responsible Service of Gambling (RSG)

From the 1st of October 2010 training in Responsible Service of Gambling is mandatory for people carrying out gaming duties or tasks in licensed venues in Queensland. Eclipse Online Education has been accredited by the Office of Liquor and Gaming Regulation to offer this training. We are one of the first training organisations that can offer you this. If you already hold a nationally accredited RSG certificate and if that certificate is not older than 12 months then you can sit our Queensland RSG Refresher course.

The Provide Responsible Service of Gambling certificate, (RSG certificate) is Nationally Recognised and is a legal requirement for anyone seeking employment within the gaming industry. SITHGAM006A - Provide Responsible Gambling Services is a Nationally Accredited unit as a part of a recognised training package, however, we recommend that students check their State's requirements for working in the gaming industry before undertaking the online RSG course.

After completing the Responsible Service of Gambling (RSG) unit, you will be able to work in premises that have gaming machines as well as learn the importance of responsible service of gambling.

If you are seeking employment within the gaming industry, the completion of the RSG certificate is a legal requirement. All new gaming industry employees who are working in the gaming machine area of an approved venue are required to undertake an approved course within six months of commencing employment, and an approved refresher course within three years following completion of an approved course.
